- Washing your hair properly is vital when caring for your long hair extensions. You may have to change your normal routine to accommodate your hair extensions.
- Using a pre-shampoo treatment will nourish, cleanse and hydrate your hair, acting like sebum on your natural hair.
- If you have the time, apply a pre-shampoo treatment overnight to ensure the human hair extensions are provided with the essential oils necessary. However, using the treatment for 30 minutes can improve if you have limited time.
- We recommend washing your hair standing in the shower and letting the water flow where your hair grows. Avoid washing your hair with your head flipped upside down, as this will encourage tangling.
- Wash your extensions no more than three times a week. You want to keep the extensions clean, so the oil doesn’t make them slip and become loose, but you don’t want to overload them with the product.

As hair extensions don’t receive natural oils to keep them soft, you will need to add extra hair to keep them moisturized. The best method to perform this is to use oil-based formulas at least once weekly.
